3. Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to use our services:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Provide accurate registration information.
• Not be previously suspended for policy violations on similar platforms.

4. Account Registration

When creating an account on JIAMedia.com, you agree to provide truthful and accurate details. You are responsible for safeguarding your login information and for all activities that occur under your account.

If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately. We are not liable for losses that occur due to compromised credentials.

5. Service Provision

JIA Media provides hosting and domain services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim to offer 99.9 percent uptime, occasional interruptions may occur from maintenance, upgrades, cyberattacks, power issues, or third-party failures.

We reserve the right to:

• Upgrade or modify server infrastructure.
• Suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
• Refuse service for security, legal, or operational reasons.

6. Domain Registration and Management

6.1 Domain Availability

Domain names are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Confirmation of availability is not guaranteed until payment is processed and registration is complete.

6.2 Domain Renewal and Expiry

You are responsible for renewing your domain names before the expiration date. Failure to do so may result in:

• Immediate suspension of the domain.
• Loss of ownership.
• Redemption fees imposed by the registry.

6.3 Compliance with ICANN and NiRA Policies

All domain registrations adhere to guidelines set by ICANN (for global domains) and NiRA (for .ng domains). You must comply with all applicable registration, renewal, and dispute policies.

7. Hosting Usage Policy

7.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use JIAMedia hosting services for any activity prohibited by Nigerian law or international cybersecurity standards.

Prohibited content and activities include:

• Fraudulent websites or impersonation.
• Hate speech or extremist propaganda.
• Child abuse material.
• Hosting malware, viruses, or phishing pages.
• Illegal financial schemes or Ponzi operations.
• Spamming, email abuse, or bulk unsolicited messages.
• Resource-heavy applications without prior approval.

7.2 Resource and Fair Usage Limits

Shared hosting users must comply with fair usage limits on CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, and email sending. Accounts exceeding these thresholds may be throttled or suspended.

8. Customer Data

8.1 Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content stored or published using our services.

8.2 Backups

Although we perform periodic backups for system recovery, you are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of your data.

8.3 Data Protection and Privacy

We comply with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Your personal data will not be sold, traded, or misused. We may share information only when required by law or court order.

9. Payments

9.1 Billing

Payments are made in Nigerian Naira unless otherwise stated. Accepted payment methods include:

• Bank transfer
• Debit and credit cards
• Paystack and other approved gateways

9.2 Non-Payment

Failure to pay for services may result in immediate suspension of hosting and loss of domain names.

9.3 Refund Policy

Domain name purchases are non-refundable. Hosting services may be eligible for refunds within seven days of purchase if no policy violations occurred.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your service if:

• You violate any part of these Terms.
• Your activities pose security risks.
• You fail to comply with payment obligations.

Upon termination, your data may be permanently deleted, and access to all associated services discontinued.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

JIA Media does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or complete security protection. Services are used at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Nigerian law, JIA Media is not liable for indirect losses, including revenue loss, data corruption, or business disruption.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service within the last 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify JIA Media from claims arising from misuse of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

14. Intellectual Property

All logos, trademarks, and proprietary materials belonging to JIA Media remain our exclusive property. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. Continued use of our services after revisions implies acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Nigerian law, including:

• Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
• Cybercrimes Act 2015
• CAMA
• Consumer Protection laws

Disputes will be resolved in Nigerian courts.
